Astral/Tarot Readings for Week of September 13, 2026
“Let all the trees of the forest sing for joy” ~ Psalm 96
A summary of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you. More is revealed when you are aware of which houses these aspects present themselves in your natal chart.
WEEK’S OVERVIEW: Healing energy, time for reflection and gratitude in all things are prominent this week.
MOON TRANSITS: The Moon moves quickly, completing a cycle in 28.5 days. Its emotional, motherly energy affects each sign it enters briefly. If you’re aware of your natal chart, knowing when the Moon hits your natal chart houses can be beneficial.
· Monday – Moon enters Scorpio and is conjunct Venus, bringing a tender healing and transformative energy for the day.
· Wednesday – Moon enters Sagittarius, offering optimism where your emotions are running high.
· Saturday – Moon enters Capricorn, encouraging self-discipline, particularly in business situations.
ONGOING:
· Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are in retrograde status, offering moments to pause and reconsider options.
· Saturn and Neptune are both retrograde in Aries until December, encouraging pause to review the direction life is taking, reassess long-term goals, renew determination in healthy goals, and reconsider what influences [personal or societal] no longer serve you.
· Pluto is retrograde in Aquarius until October 16, producing tentativeness or a hesitation to speak up in your own behalf. Through September and October, Neptune and Pluto are sextile, creating a harmony of the two energies conducive to personal inner growth, and enabling us to recognize old patterns that are preventing forward movement.
· Uranus is retrograde in Gemini until February 2027, bringing a long period of assessing how to deal with changes occurring around you. Change is necessary for growth. Gemini is an excellent multi-tasker, which may aid in accepting current changes.
· We’re in September, a 1-month in a 1-year. In Tarot, One represents the Magician, who is influenced by Mercury. The Magician is independent and a natural leader. A 1-year is a time for new beginnings. A 1-month represents new personal adventures where you show independence and leadership with confidence. Spend time meditating/praying for direction to make life more authentic or to discover your purpose here on Earth.
SUNDAY
· Mercury in Libra trine Uranus retrograde in Gemini until Monday. A nagging issue surfaces and steps are available to ease the tension. You may not resolve the issue but will likely make progress and feel more balanced in starting the new week.
· Venus in Scorpio opposite Chiron retrograde in Taurus. This aspect may ease a bit of the intensity of Scorpio as Chiron draws in healing energy, conducive to the grounding nature of Taurus.
TUESDAY
· Sun in Virgo sextile Mars in Cancer through Saturday. This is a great time to get things done, particularly on the home front – something as simple as rearranging furniture or putting up new curtains to full scale remodeling. What inspires you today?
· Venus in Scorpio square Pluto retrograde in Aquarius through Saturday. Consider this a pause time to watch from the sidelines and to think before you speak. Finances may be an issue to be addressed.
THURSDAY
· Mercury in Libra opposite Saturn retrograde in Aries until Saturday. There is a pull between thoughtful communication and rigid responsibility. Where do you need to step forward with aid and when do you need to just let it go? Often it is better to keep within your own boundaries.
FRIDAY
· First Quarter Moon at 25° Sagittarius. Think back to December of last year. Was there an idea for a project or some adventure that maybe needed to wait until warmer weather to pursue? Now is the time to move forward on that adventure.
SATURDAY
· Chiron retrograde moves back into Aries. This energy addresses feelings about self-worth, and urges turning major focus away from pleasing others to focus on inner growth and trusting our own instincts.

TAROT
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. For the Collective card, an overview for all, I am using the Divine Dog Wisdom deck.
· Collective card: Action
“Seize the day” – or week! This card blends well with the astrological energy this week. Remember "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got". Try something new; step out of your comfort zone. You may discover new talents you never knew you had.
· ARIES [the Ram]: Eight of Wands
This card is filled with action and moving at a fast pace. Combined with the active energy in Aries this week, be mindful of a tendency to overextend. Keep everything in moderation.
· TAURUS [the Bull]: Two of Pentacles
Finances come into play this week. You may receive an unexpected opportunity or job offer. Keep in mind that a decision is not immediately necessary. Consider carefully before committing to anything that doesn’t sound quite right.
· GEMINI [the Twins]: Queen of Swords
Uranus retrograde in Gemini spurs change, and the Queen of Swords has dealt with a lifetime of change and achieved wisdom along the way. This card advises that change means growth; and whatever comes along this week, you have the knowledge and skills [and spiritual support] to handle it with grace.
· CANCER [the Crab]: Six of Swords
Mars in Cancer can be an internal battle between running full speed ahead and hesitating for fear of hitting a brick wall. The Six of Swords provides an internal steadiness. You’ll instinctively know when the time is right to go forward and not a moment before.
· LEO [the Lion]: King of Cups
The King of Cups is diplomatic and authoritative, just like Leo. This is a fine week to put your ideas into action and to do so with confidence. It’s like the collective card “Seize the day” was speaking directly to you.
· VIRGO [the Virgin]: Ten of Cups
The picture on this card is a serene landscape with a cottage and several small bees in the blue sky. I describe this because Virgo is the ruler of bees! No coincidence here. This is a week to be like the bee: social and hard working with a strong connection to home.
· LIBRA [the Scales]: Four of Wands
The Four of Wands promotes optimism and spirit, a good combination with the harmony of Libra. Take a few moments this week to pause to reflect and to subtly celebrate all that is good in your life, knowing that you possess the courage to accomplish whatever is most important to you.
· SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Ace of Cups
With Venus currently in Scorpio, the Ace of Cups insists on focusing on the Venus vibes of love and happiness, which is the basis that gives life meaning. This is not just toward others, but for yourself. Hug your inner child and spend time appreciating who you are and what you have achieved.
· SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Five of Wands
This card represents competitive action, and with the First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius this week, you may be drawn into a challenge of a new adventure either with others or perhaps internally. What undertaking might you have considered and are now willing to let come to the surface?
· CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Two of Wands
Twos in numerology represent cooperation and sensitivity. This card indicates a decision to be made. Being in Capricorn, it would most likely be in a business situation. If a conflict arises in business this week, hold a cooperative stance while holding your ground. You are wise in business.
· AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Knight of Swords
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius signals coming to consensus with your desires, “rising from the ashes” as it were to fulfill your dreams. The Knight of Swords seconds that idea as it speaks to ambition, bravery and the ability to handle long-term situations.
· PISCES [the Fish]: The Moon
The only sign that received a Major Arcana card this week! The Moon represents the unknown, what’s lying in the shadows waiting to be discovered, and this is just up Pisces’ alley. Pisceans love contemplating the dreamy, mystical unknowns of life. What will you uncover this week with your deep sense of intuition?
