“in quietness and trust is your strength” Isaiah 30:15
An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you.
SUNDAY
· Venus in Gemini sextile [beneficial] Neptune in Aries: This is a creative time, especially in relationships, whether that’s personal or business. This energy is most effective through Wednesday.
· Mercury in Aries square [challenging] Jupiter in Cancer: Extra energy creating lots of ideas, so much so that it’s hard to decide on a to-do list. Be careful of promising more than can ever get done. This will be influential until Tuesday.
MONDAY
· The Moon in Virgo sextile Jupiter in Cancer: An optimistic period which is most effective for Monday.
TUESDAY
· Venus in Gemini trine [beneficial] Pluto in Aquarius: Calm energy focuses on enjoying and appreciating commitments in relationships, whether those be family, friends, or business. This is most focused through Friday.
· The Moon moves into Libra until Friday. This Moon period promotes love, beauty, and peaceful surroundings with others. It will probably be hard to find time in quiet solitude; others want your company.
THURSDAY
· The Moon moves into Scorpio until Monday, May 4. This period brings sensitivity and emotions to the forefront. People may even see you as being dramatic only because right now you may need an outlet for your intense feelings.
FRIDAY
· Happy May! In numerology, this is a 6-month in a 1-year. As a reminder, a 1-year is all about personal new beginnings and fresh starts. A 6-month focuses on family and home. You may feel the need to spruce up your home, connect with family – all those you feel close to that cause you to think happy thoughts.
· Full Moon at 11° Scorpio: This emotional feeling continues with the Full Moon. As a matter of fact, because of an imbalance of emotional energy, this may be an indecisive and cautious time. You may find yourself taking care of others, but ignoring yourself. Try to take time for you. Fortunately, Moon energy passes quickly in a day or less.
· Venus in Gemini sextile Saturn in Aries: This is soft energy that reminds you of loving responsibilities.
· Mercury conjunct Chiron in Aries: The Chiron energy focuses on healing past hurts. Combined with Mercury, it’s a good time to listen and empathize with others. Alternatively, you may find that you need a kind shoulder who will show you some empathy.
In considering all of these planetary aspects, more is revealed when you are aware of which houses these aspects present themselves in your natal chart and the other aligning transits.

TAROT
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. For the Collective card, an overview for all, I am using the Divine Angels Oracle deck.
· Collective card: Self-love
“Prioritize your well-being and cultivate a deep sense of love and compassion for yourself.” There’s much said in the astrology this week about relationships. Sometimes we forget that our very, very closest relationship is that of ourself and that we tend to overlook that one the most. Do something very nice for yourself this week!
· ARIES [the Ram]: Page of Cups
With five planets still in Aries [not going down to four until next week], you could be feeling an intense amount of varying energy, up-down, up-down. The Page is reminding you that you’re very capable of dealing with that kind of energy and pushing through. Let your kindness be your guide.
· TAURUS [the Bull]: Queen of Wands
Because Taureans tend to be quiet and easy-going, people don’t realize the strong vocal spirit that only comes out in intense situations. The Queen is letting you know that this week may be one of those weeks where that passionate voice comes through loud and clear.
· GEMINI [the Twins]: King of Wands
Venus moved into Gemini last Saturday and will remain there until mid-May, bringing beautiful love energy. The King advises taking the lead with your caring relationships this week. Plan something fun and surprise someone special.
· CANCER [the Crab]: Eight of Cups
With Jupiter currently in Cancer [and staying until June], this card reminds you that sometimes the best path is to just walk away. Jupiter is expansive and can overburden. Be aware that you may tend this week to over-commit. If that’s the case, it’s okay to delegate or just pause to reorganize or renegotiate.
· LEO [the Lion]: Four of Swords
You most likely have many irons in the fire, so to speak. One is troubling; let it take the back burner for now. Let some time pass before moving forward. You will have a greater chance of success if you wait.
· VIRGO [the Virgin]: Strength
The Moon is moving out of Virgo, which has brought up many deep emotions. The Strength card lets you know that your vibrant energy and eye to detail is returning. You are strong from within and can persevere. Get back on track and carry on.
· LIBRA [the Scales]: The Emperor and Four of Cups
Each week I draw one card per zodiac sign. However, this time these two cards popped out of the deck together. So, I believe it was meant to be. The Emperor is authoritative and can often signify some shifting power issue; who’s in charge. The Four of Cups indicates that some expectation may not occur, but to keep an open mind. With Libra looking for balance and harmony, something may be amiss. Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate.
· SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: The Star
The Star card is influenced by Aquarius [who rules over hopes and wishes] and Pluto’s transformative energy is dwelling in Aquarius currently; and of course, the Full Moon is in Scorpio this week. This varying energy could be daunting to some; however, the Star card is there to lend a sense of inner calm and confidence to see the joy in life.
· SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Knight of Cups
There’s a quality of dreaminess and imagination to this card. There may be a feeling this week of lying back and not committing yet to something that’s pressing. When that feeling hits, it’s always wise to pay attention to your intuition. It’s okay to wait.
· CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: The High Priestess
The intuitive energy of the Moon influences this card. This week is a good time to unplug, step back and allow your unconscious to emerge. There’s an inner wisdom there to connect to. Allow yourself some prayer/meditation time to connect with God/your Higher Power.
· AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Six of Wands
Pluto, the ultimate transformer, is in Aquarius for the next several years, but let’s just focus on this week. The Six of Wands carries victorious energy with it. Whatever is coming to fruition is in complete balance with your goals. This may just be the beginning of a transformation for you.
· PISCES [the Fish]: Ace of Pentacles [reversed]
Cards are not often in reverse; however, this card jumped out of the deck and landed on the floor in reverse. So, I see that as intentional. This card upright generally indicates a new source of income. However, in reverse, it may indicate some material selfishness, or that it may be time to search for a new source of income, to leave the familiar behind and seek something more personally satisfying.
