Astral/Oracle Readings for the Week of October 4, 2026
“The salt of patience seasons everything.” ~ Italian proverb
A summary of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot/Oracle reading. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you. Tarot/Oracle readings serve as support/depth.
WEEK’S OVERVIEW: A less bumpy ride than last week with a great opportunity to slow down and review the abundant life that surrounds you.
MOON TRANSITS: “Emotional Weather”
· Sunday – Moon enters Leo, providing a desire for time with family but could involve some wounding of the ego if the need for attention overpowers.
· Tuesday – Moon enters Virgo, creating priorities with work, organization, and details, which could lead to perfectionistic and self-critical tendencies.
· Friday – Moon enters Libra, cultivating relationships and a desire to please others or be the mediator.
· Saturday – New Moon in Libra, bringing emotional balance and healing in personal relationships. Be kind to yourself.
ONGOING:
· Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are in retrograde status, offering moments to pause and reconsider options. In varying transits, all the retrogrades are encouraging slowing down, reflecting, and reassessing. Several of the retrogrades focus on personal inner growth and releasing past hurts/haunts to prepare for accepting change and healing energy.
· Venus recently turned retrograde in Scorpio. This pushes the boundaries of calm. You likely will find yourself more outspoken about affairs of the heart and allowing yourself to be more open to revealing tucked-away truths.
· October is a 2-month in a 1-year. While a 1-year is about new beginnings, the presence of the 2-month introduces cooperative and collaborative energy. Think about teamwork. With most of the retrogrades continuing throughout the month, your energy and emotional levels may come into play in unexpected ways concerning your focus on partnerships in both personal and business connections.
SUNDAY
· “Retrograde” is abbreviated as [rx] throughout.
· Mars in Leo opposite Pluto[rx] in Aquarius and Mars square Mercury in Scorpio ending today. These transits combine their energy to create a strong urge to be very vocal. Passion for a project/activity is so intense it may cause uncharacteristic assertiveness. Compromise is key.
· Sun in Libra opposite Saturn[rx] in Aries through Tuesday. While encountering obstacles may be frustrating, progress can still be made with patience and perseverance. It may be necessary to be a little stern with that nagging inner voice.
TUESDAY
· Venus[rx] conjunct Mercury in Scorpio through Wednesday. Peaceful communications provide calm. There is beauty and acceptance in compromise.
WEDNESDAY
· Mars in Leo sextile Uranus[rx] in Gemini through the end of the week. This is inspirational energy, bringing a strong degree of stimulation to complete projects and/or have needed breakthroughs. You may find yourself drawn to unusual hobbies.
SATURDAY
· Venus[rx] in Scorpio square Mars in Leo until next Tuesday. While you may feel passionate about a project/activity, avoid overcommitment, as your judgment may be clouded. Show restraint with finances. Refrain from signing documents or making life-changing decisions.

TAROT
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the Wisdom of the Oracle deck by Colette Baron Reid. For the Collective card, an overview for all, I am using the Divine Angels Oracle deck.
· Collective card: Reassurance
“Trust your intuition and make practical decisions that align with your higher purpose. Your guardian angels are acknowledging your efforts.” I love that this card came up during the multiple retrogrades. During a retrograde, the focus is on the “re-“ words: review, reassess, reevaluate, etc. – and now reassurance. We can all use a little reassurance that we’re capable of handling whatever arises when the week has a bit of a bumpy road. Our angels always surround us.
· ARIES [the Ram]: Observer
With several retrogrades sitting in Aries, it’s necessary to have a keen open perspective and not make casual assumptions. Spend some silent time closely observing the situations around you before expressing opinions. Is this a case of not seeing the forest for the trees?
· TAURUS [the Bull]: Yin
This is a week to let others make the first move. Be aware of the environment and of what opportunities are coming to you. It is not necessary to go in search of what you desire but gracefully and appreciatively accept the good fortune bestowed on you when it comes.
· GEMINI [the Twins]: No Place Like Home
With Uranus[rx] sitting in Gemini for awhile bringing needed change, this week is an ideal time to ensure that you’re “at home” in your own skin. Changes are growth; and in that period, you can and must rely on your inner self to make certain of maintaining comfort during transformation.
· CANCER [the Crab]: Tick Tock
This card expresses divine timing. In our fast-moving world, Cancers tend to skitter sideways when uncertainty arises whether an action forward is warranted. The spirit world is nodding “yes” that you are heading in the right direction on whatever project you have been pondering.
· LEO [the Lion]: By the Book
With such a confident Leo personality and active-oriented Mars in Leo this week, it would be natural to be very outgoing and expect the attention you feel you deserve. However, this card is warning that life will be more harmonious if you play it “by the book” this week instead of doing anything outlandish or prideful.
· VIRGO [the Virgin]: A Change in the Wind
Even though you organize, check details, and make lists, sometimes the weather interrupts plans. Your anticipated outcome of an event/activity may not go as scheduled, but that’s not necessarily a negative. Sometimes not getting what you want is a gift from above.
· LIBRA [the Scales]: Loyal Heart [reversed; or in protection]
The New Moon happens in Libra this week, suggesting making new plans or goals. This card implies that you are holding onto some outdated idea or belief or some misguided loyalty that is preventing you from moving forward. It’s time to let it go for the sake of success in your venture.
· SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Treasure Island [reversed; or in protection]
Interestingly, the Treasure Island card “in protection” mirrors the energy of Mercury and Venus[rx] sitting in Scorpio. The intensity of Scorpio to delve the deeper meanings in life parallels the card’s challenge to change your perception of being wary or suspect and accept the abundance before you.
· SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Between Worlds [reversed; or in protection]
As Sagittarians seek the greatest heights, this week is devoted to recognizing that nothing is guaranteed and that things may not go as planned. Instead of feeling disappointment, watch for what Spirit has in store. It’s likely greater than anything you imagined.
· CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Co-Create
Capricorns are hard workers and take responsibility seriously. As a result, you may not consider yourself creative. However, you are a creative genius working in conjunction with Spirit/God/your Higher Power. Your creativity is likely not in the area of “the arts,” but your skillful mastery lies in your business sense.
· AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Clean It Up [reversed; or in protection]
Aquarians are community-oriented and seek satisfaction in helping others. This card “in protection” states: “Is it possible you may be focusing too much on other people right now?” This was definitely meant for you! Take some time to relax from feeling the need to be needed. You are loved and respected just as you are!
· PISCES [the Fish]: Chop Wood
This week focus on following your daily routine without pressuring yourself to consciously work toward some long-term goal. Sometimes it’s most beneficial to let a plan unfold in its own time. Be reassured that growth is occurring in the background.
