Astral/Tarot Readings for Week of September 20, 2026
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
A summary of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you. More is revealed when you are aware of which houses these aspects present themselves in your natal chart.
WEEK’S OVERVIEW: This week we have some luminaries in the anaretic 29th degree. All planets, as they move from one sign to another, pass the karmic 29°. However, this week we’re dealing with several at the same time. The overall forecast for this week is to allow personal pause or meditation/prayer time to accept that change is occurring [change is growth], and celebrate where life has led you to this point.
MOON TRANSITS: The Moon moves quickly, completing a cycle through the Zodiac in 29 days. Its emotional, motherly energy affects each sign it enters briefly, while emphasizing one’s inner feelings. Knowing when the Moon moves into your natal houses at each sign can be beneficial.
· Monday - in Aquarius: brings creativity and trying something new; sensitive to the needs of those closest to you.
· Thursday – in Pisces: very intuitive time; may feel the need to withdraw, meditate; could be prone to overindulge; avoid making big decisions.
· Saturday – Full Moon at 3° Aries: a time to reflect on personal needs; abundant energy; a great time for workouts and other physical activities. At the same time, the Moon is conjunct Neptune, heightening intuition and dreams.
ONGOING:
· Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are in retrograde status, offering moments to pause and reconsider options.
· Saturn and Neptune are both retrograde in Aries until December, encouraging pause to review the direction life is taking, reassess long-term goals, renew determination in healthy goals, and reconsider what influences [personal or societal] no longer serve you.
· Pluto is retrograde in Aquarius until October 16. Through September and October, Neptune and Pluto are sextile, creating a harmony of the two energies conducive to personal inner growth, and enabling us to recognize old patterns that are preventing forward movement.
· Uranus is retrograde in Gemini until February 2027, bringing a long period of assessing how to deal with changes occurring around you. Change is necessary for growth. Gemini is an excellent multi-tasker, which may aid in accepting personal changes.
· We’re in September, a 1-month in a 1-year, a time for new beginnings. A 1-month represents new personal adventures where you show independence and leadership with confidence. Spend time meditating/praying for direction to make life more authentic or to contemplate your purpose here on Earth. It stands to reason in Tarot, One represents the Magician, who is influenced by Mercury’s strong communication skills. The Magician is independent and a natural leader.
SUNDAY
· Chiron, being retrograde, has backed into Aries at 29°, providing strong personal/inner self-healing energy. Until the end of October, Chiron is trine the South Node at 29° Leo and sextile the North Node at 29° Aquarius. These combined transits indicate a time to recognize that past wounds need not dampen your self-esteem nor dictate your right to move forward with confidence. The energy encourages pondering what holds you back at times, to come to grips with that hurt, and cast it aside. This is karmic energy to eliminate painful feelings and allow growth.
MONDAY
· Mercury in Libra sextile Jupiter in Leo until Wednesday. The energy allows for seeing both sides of a situation without letting personal feelings interfere. Because this is such positive energy, beware of a tendency to overcommit.
TUESDAY
· The Sun at 29° Virgo moves into Libra by day’s end. Avoid allowing what could seem frenetic, aggressive energy from exhausting you as you may suddenly feel the urge to organize everything around you – some heavy “housecleaning.”
· Autumnal Equinox – as the Sun moves into Libra, there is a strong commitment to peace and harmony. The daily routine will seem to be calmer. The Native Americans consider this a period of introspection and transformation; leaves are falling, birds are migrating, and the Earth is preparing for the harshness of winter. In Tarot, the hard work of the summer has past and it’s time to celebrate the “harvest.”
· HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIBRAS! Libra is the sign of balance and harmony, and you likely see yourself as the mediator of the family. Mahatma Gandhi’s Sun was in Libra. You are diplomatic, and it’s important to you to make a “good impression”. You like beauty and order surrounding you. Emily Post had her Sun in Libra. You’re in good company!
FRIDAY
· The Sun in Libra opposite Neptune retrograde in Aries until Sunday. Although you would prefer all to be copacetic, the next couple of days may seem off kilter or illusive.
· The Sun in Libra trine Pluto retrograde in Aquarius until next Monday, September 28. Although the Sun-Neptune transit isn’t exactly positive, the Sun-Pluto balances it somewhat. This transit offers aid in separating the real from the illusive.
SUNDAY
· Mars at 29° Cancer before moving into Leo later in the day. This is active energy producing feelings of strong emotion before moving into Leo’s confident stride.

TAROT
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. For the Collective card, an overview for all, I am using the Wisdom of the Oracle deck by Colette Baron-Reid.
· Collective card: A Change in the Wind
What a perfect card to pop to the surface for this week! It’s human nature to resist change, but also the one thing in life that is guaranteed - change. Anticipate with curiosity what lies ahead. Just as a storm can be devastating, it also nourishes the earth. Every change has a silver lining. As Colette says, “The unknown is where the magic lies.”
· ARIES [the Ram]: The Lovers
The Lovers card doesn’t necessarily indicate an intimate relationship. For most, this signifies the importance of love [including self-love] in a person’s life, and of releasing the ego to allow true, heartfelt emotions. With the accumulation of Aries energy in the astrology this week, consider pausing for self-reflection of what makes you a lovable person.
· TAURUS [the Bull]: Nine of Wands
As a Taurus, you tend to be well-grounded. However, perhaps you’ve overloaded your “plate” recently with your generous nature. This card is cautioning that you may be overdoing it, and to recognize when enough is enough. The “change” that may be needed this week is to lighten your load and allow yourself some room to breathe and enjoy life.
· GEMINI [the Twins]: Six of Swords
You’re a capable multi-tasker who may be feeling a little scattered or off course lately. The Six of Swords indicates a new perspective may be needed. It’s okay to be generous and to do it with help. If you simply ask, you will likely find there are those near you who would be excited about being a part of your “adventure.”
· CANCER [the Crab]: Knight of Wands
Mars leaving Cancer at the end of the week will be a pleasant respite. In the meantime, the Knight of Wands recognizes that you may be going in all directions due to the active energy of Mars. Hang on with self-confidence that you can accomplish that goal you’ve been working toward.
· LEO [the Lion]: Knight of Cups
Despite the leadership skills of a true Leo, the Knight of Cups is indicating a bit of dreaminess on your part this week and some passivity. Use this time to look inward. As this 1-month wraps up, it’s a great time to allow some quiet time/meditation for self-reassurance that you’re heading in the direction you truly want.
· VIRGO [the Virgin]: Seven of Cups
With the Sun completing its time in Virgo, this card indicates that you’re seeing yourself with too many options; and being the hard working Virgo, you are likely feeling pushed beyond your comfort zone and desirous of tuning out by overindulging elsewhere. Think moderation.
· LIBRA [the Scales]: Strength
What an excellent card! With the Equinox, and the Sun and Mercury in your sign, the Strength card is a reminder of perseverance and gentle persuasion. This week you have extra vibes of hope and confidence coming your way to aid in facing whatever challenges may occur. You are strong from within!
· SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Queen of Cups [reversed]
The Queen of Cups is usually balanced in her vision of life. However, reversed shows an unevenness. Something with finances or “found” money may be causing an awkward situation among a “team,” whether it’s family or a group of friends or work acquaintances. Scorpios are resourceful; you will straighten this out.
· SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Ace of Cups
Although the strong energies can be daunting this week, the Ace of Cups is acknowledging this as a time of happiness, love, and a gift of joy. Be receptive to the impact of the Equinox as a time of celebration and give gratitude for the spiritual bliss that gives life meaning. Remember, “Love makes the world go ‘round.”
· CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Queen of Swords
The Queen of Swords can come across as harsh because of all she’s been through, and we know Capricorns can be “workhorses” and focus on keeping business in order. This card is here to remind you that wisdom comes from finding that balance between hard work and restful time with those you love. Not sure who that would be? Then you’re working too much; let it go.
· AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: The Hermit
Pluto retrograde and the North Node both in Aquarius puts a precarious spin on the week. It’s no wonder The Hermit showed up for you. This is a week to withdraw as much as possible, give yourself grace to push back from overwork, and spend time with your inner child. What did you enjoy as a child? Blowing bubbles? Buy a bottle and be silly. Dance and sing or soak in a warm bath. Whatever brings personal relaxation and joy.
· PISCES [the Fish]: Knight of Swords
Similar to the traits of Pisces, the Knight of Swords is ambitious and brave, but has difficulty handling long, slow and plodding situations or assignments. This week you are likely to feel alone or fear being alone simply because of some necessary event that you find boring. Look for the positive.
