An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you.

SUN-DAY: An enormous amount of Sun energy radiates in the astrology this week!

·       Sun enters Cancer. The Sun is the center of our Solar System and represents how we each shine. When in Cancer, the focus is on nurturance, respect, tradition, and family.

·       Happy Birthday to all whose birthdays are in Cancer, June 21 – July 22. You are attuned to the moods and feelings of others and are very intuitive. You are hard-working, compassionate, and supportive almost to the point of mothering, especially to those you love.

·       Summer Solstice is today, the longest daylight of the year! Many cultures have celebrations to welcome in this event and the official beginning of summer [representing creative endeavors.] What does Summer inspire in you? If you don’t have a tradition for welcoming in the Summer Solstice, today would be a good time to start one!

·       Sun sextiles Chiron in Taurus. [Most active Sunday through Tuesday] This is a harmonious, easy flow of energy, allowing for opportunities to heal the soul of what’s currently bringing torment or unease.

·       Sun trine the North Node in Pisces. [Most active Monday through Thursday] Leave your inhibitions behind and give yourself permission to express the real you. This is nurturance energy, not just for yourself and your family, but more importantly for your career.

·       Sun square Neptune in Aries.[Most active Tuesday through Saturday] Your empathy toward others may be seen by some as martyrdom, but avoid letting that upset you. This is an emotional period; so share some of that love and care that you give others for yourself.

ALSO ON SUNDAY

·       First Quarter Moon at 0° Libra. This opens a period of harmonic energy and active growth. An exciting idea that formed about nine months ago could be causing some anxiety and uncertainty right now, not knowing the ultimate outcome. With Libra providing balance, stay the course and move forward. Avoid worrying about the end result now; enjoy the adventure.

WEDNESDAY

·       Venus in Leo trine Saturn in Aries. [Wednesday – Friday] Dependable, active energy that is especially productive with business partnerships.

THURSDAY

·       Neptune in Aries sextile Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. These two planets have been dancing near to one another since the beginning of May. On Thursday, their aspect will be exact and continue to be exact until mid-August. Pluto in Aquarius is innovative, and retrograde indicates reinventing yourself or a rebirth [Here Comes the Sun]. The connection with Neptune provides a blending between spiritual and psychological healing. [As I was researching this aspect, I referred to Steven Forrest’s The Book of Pluto. The first sentence under the heading, Pluto-Neptune Aspects in the Natal Chart, says: “If either you or your mom can sing all the words to a Beatles song, you’ve got a Pluto-Neptune aspect in your birth chart and it’s a sextile.” We’re not talking about natal charts here, but daily transits are similar. Today being Global Beatles Day and my putting that at the beginning of my blog before I ever looked at Forrest’s entry, just made me laugh. How divine!]

FRIDAY

·       The Moon in Libra trine Jupiter in Cancer; The Moon opposite Mars in Taurus. These two transits are short-lived, no more than a day. That’s the good news. The not-so-great news is that the energies of these two contradict one another. Trine Jupiter is generous energy, good natured, and promoting radiant, adventurous plans; whereas, opposite Mars forecasts conflict and difficulty expressing yourself. My best thought is that you are likely to meet up with those who question your enthusiastic ideas and try to bring you down. TGIF!

SATURDAY

·       Mars in Taurus sextile Jupiter in Cancer. With the Moon’s influence out of the way of Mars and Jupiter, the energy between these two planets now offers an opportunity to achieve personal goals. Both planets are in the 29^th degree of their sign, the karmic degree. So, Mars is in a hurry to move on and Jupiter is feeling expansive; good combination for a day to get things done.

In considering all of these planetary aspects, more is revealed when you are aware of which houses these aspects present themselves in your natal chart and the other transits affecting in your natal chart.

I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. ·                 Collective card: Bobinsana

The Bobinsana is a healing herb native to the Amazon region. Its energy is guided by the Moon and Neptune, providing compassion, self-love, gratitude, and trust in divine spirituality.

·                  ARIES [the Ram]: The Sun!!

The Tarot has singled out those with Aries prominent in their natal chart to encourage embracing all the positive energy this week. If Aries is your Sun sign or Ascendant, this energy is all about you personally. As a Moon sign, you’ll feel particularly pulled to nurture others; your intuition will feel stronger. As a Midheaven sign, your career or reputation will be absorbing that energy.

·                  TAURUS [the Bull]: The Hermit

The astrological energy is strongly influenced by this card for Taureans. It’s time to unplug for a bit, withdraw from the chaos around you, and work on self-development and nurturing your inner self to prepare you for a coming transition in your life.

·                  GEMINI [the Twins]: Nine of Pentacles

The duality of Gemini is well represented through your multi-tasking capabilities. As such, the 9 of Pentacles is urging you to be enterprising with your creativity but also to be patient. The luxury of your efforts will be worth it.

·                  CANCER [the Crab]: King of Wands

You’re feeling passionate about something! This week’s energy is urging you to get out there and do what you enjoy most. You deserve it, and relaxing in this way will allow you to move forward in an adventurous way, which is somewhat out of your comfort zone. Just have some fun with what you’re working on.

·                  LEO [the Lion]: Ace of Cups and Five of Pentacles

It’s unusual, but as I was shuffling the deck, both cards fell out together. It was meant to be. The Ace of Cups indicates a time of happiness and love, reminding you that love makes the world go round; however, the 5 of Pentacles is making you doubt this philosophy. Whatever material matters are troubling you, know that they will pass. Keep love in your heart.

·                  VIRGO [the Virgin]: Page of Swords

This week’s energy combined with the Page of Swords in suggesting that whatever battle you’re bracing for is not necessary. Take the high ground; seek a new perspective. You are strong and practical. Let the positive astrological energy guide you through whatever is troubling you. This too shall pass.

·                  LIBRA [the Scales]: Knight of Pentacles

This is a productive period for you. You are most likely involved, as a practical matter, with material details. Avoid becoming over-ambitious as it may cause you to lose momentum and drop into idle daydreaming.

·                  SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Four of Swords

Because of your resourceful nature, you tend to welcome these periods of intense, positive energy to get things done. However, take some time out, particularly if you begin to feel that you’re beating your head against a wall. Withdraw for a bit to re-energize your strength.

·                  PISCES [the Fish]: Ace of Wands

As you, Pisces, enjoy eliminating boundaries, this week’s energy encourages you to do some normal routine a little differently. Approach this new action with grace as the energy is very supportive of starting a new program of study or a new job/career move.
