For additional insight for my viewers, here is this week's Tarot reading. An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot.
Venus is conjunct Chiron in Aries - Venus [love]; Chiron [healer]; Aries [self]. A time to nurture your inner child with some self-love.
Venus enters Taurus on Thursday - a good time to relax and enjoy the goodness of life
Mercury is conjunct Jupiter in Gemini - Mercury [communication]; Jupiter [expansion]; Gemini [information exchange]. A great time to write - start a novel, a poem, a personal letter to someone dear.
First Quarter Moon in Virgo on Thursday - this moon phase represents a turning point. Being in Virgo indicates perhaps changes in routines, organization.
I found it interesting that there were so many Swords cards pulled this week. To me this is asking for introspection, which matches well with the current transits.
For entertainment purposes only
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the Rider-Waite Tarot deck. In addition, on the first of every month, I draw an animal card from the Medicine Cards [by Jamie Sams and David Carson] for personal inspiration and guidance for that month. I thought it would be appropriate to share with all as our collective card for this week.
Collective card: Turtle
Turtle is the oldest symbol representing Mother Earth. Honor your creative resources while staying grounded and compassionate. "Turtle is a fine teacher of the art of grounding. In learning to ground, you are placing focus on your thoughts and actions and slowing to a pace that assures completion." [Sams, p 77]
ARIES [the Ram]: King of Wands
An excellent week for action. Aries is a Fire sign and the Wands represent fire and action. Being tthe King, you're in a position of leadership. The time seems right to pursue one of those new ideas you've been pondering.
TAURUS [the Bull]: Ace of Swords [reversed]
Swords represent the intellect, the airier side of our thoughts; the Ace indicating the beginning perhaps of a new plan. However, being reversed suggests that you need to be cautious of your words. As the saying goes, "Does it need to be said, does it need to be said by me, and does it need to be said now?" Venus moving into Taurus can help soften your tone.
GEMINI [the Twins]: King of Pentacles
With Mercury and Jupiter currently in Gemini, this card indicates a period of recognizing with gratitude the good in your life and expressing it with generosity - not necessarily with money, but more with thoughts and deeds.
CANCER [the Crab]: Four of Swords
Have you recently been emotionally hurt by someone or some event? Or perhaps doubting yourself in some way. This is a good week to withdraw from the crowds [move sideways like the crab] and give yourself space to commune with your Spiritual side, to walk in Nature, and do some restful healing.
LEO [the Lion}: Three of Cups
Leo likes to be the center of attention and this card indicates a celebration of some sort. Whatever the occasion, whether it's the end of a difficult situation or success in a venture, you deserve to be in the spotlight at this time. You did well!
VIRGO [the Virgin]: Page of Swords
Virgo is practical and loves to help others. This week a playful, relaxed outlook is warranted. It is possible to please others and yourself at the same time. If there's discontent, it's not your issue to resolve. Step aside and let it pass you by.
LIBRA [the Scales]: The Hermit
Librans enjoy harmony and balance in life. The Hermit card proposes a little time out to renew the harmony you crave but may have been missing lately. This could also be a good transitional time to sort out what's zapping your energy and then prioritize.
SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Five of Swords
Scorpio is brave and intense; however, there may be a conflict this week that doesn't appear to be easily resolved. Look at the situation from all sides and know that you are highly capable of finding a solution.
SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: The Tower
What goes up must come down. Just as the Archer aims high, the Tower crumbles away. Something has gone awry, but with your optimism and guiding sense of humor, you likely see it as a way to get rid of an unstable foundation or insecurity to find new adventure soon.
CAPRICORN [the Mountain Goat]: Queen of Swords
As industrious and responsible as you are, you cannot escape occasional pain or grief. How you respond is the key; and with the Queen of Swords showing you the way to strength and wisdom, you will handle it with dignity and overcome whatever misfortune.
AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: King of Swords
Saturn rules Aquarius; and as you may recall from last week, Saturn has moved into Aries [a fire sign]. While fire and water don't play together well, the King [this is - you] steps in to bring structure and clarity to challenging situations this week.
PISCES [the Fish]: Justice
To quote a friend of mine, "If it's on your plate, you ordered it!" The Justice card asks you to take personal responsibility for your actions. Pisces, being very intuitive, knows what action is being referred to. Make amends and move on. You'll feel satisfaction for it.
When checking the Zodiac signs, I look at not only my Sun sign, but also my Moon sign and my Ascendant to get a fuller picture. If you don't know what those are, email me with your date of birth, exact time and location of birth. I will be happy to forward you a copy of your natal chart at no charge. astrologywithann@gmail.com
