TAROT FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 29, 2025

For additional insight for my viewers, here is this week's Tarot reading. An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot.

·        Mercury enters Leo, bringing enthusiasm and self-expression to communications; however, it will soon go retrograde and before that happens, now is the time to tie up any loose ends, bringing closure to certain events affecting you.

·        Venus aligns with Uranus in 29° Taurus on July 3 suggesting unexpected events that lead to letting go of old patterns and embracing a new phase of life. Check your natal chart to find what house this aspect falls in to determine where this changes may take place.

·        First Quarter Moon in 11° Libra. Look for where this point is in your natal chart to determine where you may be seeking balance, harmony, and some pampering.

I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. Since July is beginning this week, I pulled a Medicine Card [from Jamie Sams and David Carson] for animal guidance for the month. For the Zodiac signs, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. I found it of particular interest that two weeks ago if the card drawn was not a Major Arcana card [e.g. The Magician], then it was either Cups or Pentacles; no Swords or Wands. This week, it’s all Swords or Wands if not a Major Arcana card. Swords and Wands cards carry more energy and are more intense. [Oops! One Cups card.]

MEDICINE CARD: DRAGONFLY

            Native American legend has it that Dragonfly was once Dragon. Dragon’s breath conjured magic and the ability to change form. Coyote tricked Dragon into changing form. Because Dragon wanted to show how powerful he was, he changed to the shape of the dragonfly, and in so doing, lost all his power. Dragonfly represents change, enlightenment, and communication with the elements of nature. Consider what current habits you have that may need to change, and let the spirit of Dragonfly guide you through your illusions to true transformation throughout the month.

·       Collective card: Ace of Swords

Your intellectual abilities force you to clearly look at certain events in your life. It may be time to make some changes [Dragonfly], or consider a whole new plan. Emotional hurts may come to the surface. It’s time to release the anger.

·        ARIES [the Ram]: Queen of Swords

The week ahead may require some courage on your part to withstand criticism or disappointment. You have the wisdom to not let it dampen your spirits. Remember, as Roo said to Winnie the Pooh, “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you feel, and smarter than you think.”

·        TAURUS [the Bull]: Page of Wands

All Wands cards represent a beginning of some sort. In this case, this is a very youthful card, perhaps relating to children. This week may be the time to announce a new project, relationship, or new phase in your life, something that evokes that child-like enthusiasm blended with the Taurean practicality.

·        GEMINI [the Twins]: Ace of Wands

As mentioned in Taurus, Wands indicate beginnings. In this case, the Ace this week suggests moving forward with that idea that others may think is outlandish. If going in the same direction is providing the same disappointing results, it’s time to change direction. Follow your instincts.

·        CANCER [the Crab]: Three of Wands

Wands indicate beginnings of some kind. With the Three, there is some accomplishment that has occurred recently that is setting you on a new path. Pat yourself on the back, and don’t doubt that you deserve the rewards you earned. It’s okay to be the humble Cancer, but deep down you know you did good!

·        LEO [the Lion}: Six of Swords

With Mercury entering Leo, communication is key, even to your inner child. If you are mourning some loss, whether physical or emotional, take some quiet time to transition within yourself from grief to appreciation. God/Spirit provides unconditional love. Allow that love to fill your heart and know that time really does heal all wounds, particularly the emotional ones.

·        VIRGO [the Virgin]: Four of Swords [reversed]

This card generally suggests taking a rest from whatever is weighing on you. Reversed implies having made a decision and are ready to move forward. If closure has not come, perhaps someone is soon coming to help. Greet that knight on the white horse with a smile. It’s okay, Virgo, to accept help on occasions.

·        LIBRA [the Scales]: The Hanging Man

It’s time to pause and catch your breath. Recently you’ve been up to your eyeballs taking care of the needs of many. The effects of the Libra First Quarter Moon can be felt a few days in advance. Now is the time to stop and listen to your inner child. What would pamper you the most? Ask for that!

·        SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Seven of Cups

This is a fine week to start a dream journal. You have dreams nightly. Make a point of trying to remember them as soon as you awake and then write them down. Study the patterns that unfold. Your dreams are giving you great insights into how you can prosper in the near future.

·        SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: The Sun and The Star

This is unusual. While I was shuffling for Sagittarius, both the Sun and the Star fell out of the deck. Instead of reshuffling, I took it as a sign that these were both meant for you!

While the Star indicates a period of calm and contentment following a difficult period, the Sun is bouncing with energy shouting “It’s a great day!” So relax and enjoy whatever adventure appears that week. You’ve earned it.

·        CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Knight of Wands

Although Capricorns tend to be disciplined and plan for the long term, the Knight is eager and ready for an adventure. Some form of movement, probably in the work place, may be expected this week. Handle it with the same precision and responsibility as you do most other things.

·        AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: The Fool 

Many who read the word “Fool” think of someone unintelligent. Not the case here. The Fool card represents beginning a new adventure with light-heartedness and joy, but not “foolish” by any means.  The Fool card is the first of the deck and carries the number zero, indicating it’s not part of or connected to anything else. It’s carefree and capable. It’s fitting that Aquarians get this card as they enjoy being inventive and unpredictable, and the Fool card would enjoy nothing more!

·        PISCES [the Fish]: Strength

This card is number 8 in a Tarot deck, which 8 turned sideways is the infinity symbol. I mention that because the Strength card refers not necessarily to physical power but to the inner ability to face any problem with compassion and peace, while continuing to move in a positive fashion. Handle any unexpected event in the homeplace this week with your intuitive Piscean nature and your inner strength.
