TAROT READING FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 17, 2025

• Mercury in Leo sextiles Mars in Libra on Sunday. While this is generally a positive aspect, Mars wants to push forward with thoughtful Mercury wanting to take the lead. It’s a good day to roll with the flow. If you’ve been contemplating writing or taking a class on something fun, today would be a fine time to start.

• The Moon moves quickly through the signs. On Monday the Moon enters Cancer and it loves to be there. Listen to your gut instincts. It’s a time of nurturing and healing within the family. A calming mood will help digestion. By Friday we have a New Moon in Virgo. This speaks of emotional healing as well but more in the vibration of the self.

• Late in the evening on Saturday the Sun moves into Virgo. Happy Birthday to those whose birthdays are between August 23 and September 22. This speaks of organization, helping others, and taking care of your health. Quell the need for perfectionism by appreciating the process and the hard work you’re put in.

• Collective card: Ace of Pentacles

This card indicates a change in responsibilities, usually at work. This could also be a time to change jobs completely. Take time to explore your options. There could be a new source of income. Above all, stay grounded through this period.

• ARIES [the Ram]: Nine of Pentacles

Have patience; go at the pace of nature. You are reliable and responsible but also enterprising. Explore or inquire as to any prospects that could make your life easier and perhaps a little luxurious.

• TAURUS [the Bull]: Seven of Pentacles

Methodical Taurus, whatever project you’ve been nurturing, you’ve done a great job. You can sit back and let it grow on its own now. Your previous patience in moving forward slowly now allows you to reap the benefits.

• GEMINI [the Twins]: Eight of Pentacles

You’re not one to take on a task simply with the hope of becoming rich or famous. You must believe in and care about the project. In this case, you have maintained steady progress, developed the knowledge, and shown the skills. Bask in the glory and accept the forthcoming praise.

• CANCER [the Crab]: Knight of Swords

While some burning energy inside seeks to delve into a questionable task/activity, you are hesitant to allow such. That’s not in your nature. Consider your options, trust your gut instincts; and only if you feel you are truly moving in a positive forward motion, proceed. Otherwise, let it pass. Other opportunities are on the horizon.

• LEO [the Lion}: Six of Cups

As the Moon briefly moves through Leo, nostalgia plays a role in your mood this week. You may even hear from someone from your past, or you may decide to look up an old friend. In either case, this is a reminder to appreciate those who have helped you along the way.

• VIRGO [the Virgin]: The Fool

With the New Moon on the precipice of Virgo, you will likely feel great relief of what have been some pent-up emotions pulling you down lately. Let them go; you don’t need them. Stop being that nose-to-the-grindstone person for at least a little while. Life is an adventure!

• LIBRA [the Scales]: The World

Oh, what a wonderful world! That’s the song you should be singing this week. Most everything in life just seems to be falling in place. The glass is not just half full; it’s overflowing. Enjoy the feeling of total balance.

• SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Seven of Swords

Take precautions this week. This might be a good time to change all those old passwords that you’ve been meaning to do. Enjoy some private moments to re-energize. What you may consider as a waste of time is actually necessary to your well-being.

• SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: The High Priestess

Connecting with God/your Higher Spirit requires meditation or a quiet walk in nature. You need to unplug from the chaos and focus on your inner wisdom. You’re likely to discover you have very intuitive awareness.

• CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Ten of Cups

Can you feel the outpouring of love flowing to you? It’s coming from your close friends and family to let you know how much you are appreciated. Your smile means everything to those around you. Keep it up!

• AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Six of Swords

You’re getting some mixed messages because you are looking in the wrong direction. To get back on track with a new perspective, shift into neutral and ask yourself, “what’s off course here?” Do not move forward on a goal until you have cleared the path ahead.

• PISCES [the Fish]: Page of Pentacles

Opportunity is knocking at your door! Or is that Spirit beckoning you? Your intuitive nature may seem a mystery to you, but it’s there. Consider if you want to continue to ignore that inner part of you for now or if you want to start learning more about the psychic side of you.
