TAROT READING FOR WEEK OF JULY 27, 2025

For additional insight for my viewers, here is this week's Tarot reading. An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot.

• Venus [all about love, beauty, self-worth] is very active this week. On Monday, it’s cozying up to Chiron, the wounded healer. Is there a new love interest on the horizon? If you’re already connected, are you seeing some little attractive nuance that maybe you missed or have forgotten about? On Wednesday, Venus moves into Cancer, which is about nurturance, home, and comfort. Venus is inviting you to enhance that comfort spot of yours at home. Now, on Thursday and the next couple of days, Venus is bracing for a tug of war with Saturn and Neptune. Take care. Do not overcommit yourself. If you do, you may start feeling resentful. Also, if possible, don’t make any major long-term decisions during this time.

• Monday, the Moon moves into Libra, which is all about balance. On Tuesday, the Moon is up against Jupiter, who wants to expand. Keep efforts in moderation, because you may tend to indulge. That includes overeating, over-shopping, overworking, etc. Friday sees the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio. Around the beginning of November 2024, you contemplated a project or actually laid the foundation for it. Now is the time to get things in motion and start moving forward. By Saturday, the Moon is happy to be near Mars. Opportunities abound. Something delightful is on its way.

• Thursday, Mercury [currently in retrograde]is Cazimi the Sun in Leo. Cazimi literally means “the heart of the Sun.” Mercury’s good ideas and strong communication being warmed by the Sun provides insights and opportunities. Time to let go of what’s not working and focus on achieving mental clarity. It’s a great time to start journaling; write down all those ideas that come to mind. If you’re a writer, today is the perfect day to work on that novel, poem, or memoir.

I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. With Venus and the Moon prevalent this week, I used the Romantic Tarot by Emanuela Signorini of Italy for the Collective reading.

• Collective card: The Tower

Moderation is key. “Catastrophe awaits the irrational and ambitious.” This blends well with the aspects of this week. Venus warns of overcommitting; that would include being over-ambitious. The Moon asks for moderation; and Mercury seeks clarity.

• ARIES [the Ram]: Ace of Swords

Make a new plan. Perhaps what you conceived during the New Moon last November is not as viable as you once thought. Take the time to make a list of what your thoughts were then, how you feel about it now, and what pivots you want to make. Normally a “moon family” lasts about 2 ½ years and we are 9 months in; AND the effects of an Ace of Swords usually last about a year.  So, when the Scorpio Full Moon comes around in April 2026, you are apt to finally be seeing the progress you anticipated.

• TAURUS [the Bull]: Four of Wands

Venus rules Taurus; and this card indicates that, for you, Saturn is winning out in its battle with Venus and Neptune mid-week. Stay disciplined but don’t overdo it. You’re entitled to rest and maybe even have a quiet celebration for achieving a goal you’ve been working on.

• GEMINI [the Twins]: Five of Cups

Situations in your life may feel a little hazy and even disappointing this week. Consider what’s mucking up the day. Whatever it is, this may be the time to let it go; maybe you don’t need “it.” Make a list of what you want to accomplish in the next month; prioritize the list; then delete everything but the top two. Focus on those for now.

• CANCER [the Crab]: Page of Cups

In keeping with the astrology aspects, this card brings messages of unconditional love. Accept the praises from those near you. They are genuine and heart-felt – and accurate. You tend to do much for everyone and then shun the gratitude, as if you weren’t worth it. You are!

• LEO [the Lion}: Ace of Wands

What a great creative week for you, birthday children, at home and at work! Share your enthusiasm so that all see the optimism you see. The Ace of Wands hints at pursuing an idea you’ve been thinking about for a long time. Shore up your ideas by putting your plan in writing, creating a reasonable timeline, and going forward.

• VIRGO [the Virgin]: Eight of Swords

Why do you imprison yourself in doubt? You are quite capable; and the latter part of this week, with Mercury [Virgo’s ruler] activating productive insights, is the perfect time for you to actively move forward with whatever communication skill you enjoy best: writing, painting, songwriting, poetry, etc.

• LIBRA [the Scales]: Two of Pentacles

You like things to stay in balance. This week you may be particularly focusing on your money situation. With August looming, create a monthly budget that you can live within and use for the rest of the year. Include some savings for emergencies that crop up, even if it’s just $10. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy life.

• SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: The Hanging Man

Life has been very active and intense lately. Pause. Do you have a comfortable place at home to enjoy silence? If not, create one – even if it’s outdoors under a tree. You need a sanctuary, a place to commune with God or whatever name you have for your Creator. Spend a little time every day in this special place to find harmony with your inner self. This achievement is as important as any work-related goal.

• SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: The Devil

Whatever you’ve been obsessing about – STOP! This will get you nowhere, because it’s not something you can control. Remember, DEVIL spelled backwards is LIVED. You’ve lived many similar experiences, and you had no control over those either. Give yourself a break from worrying and focus on something that can provide you a little personal happiness.

• CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: King of Cups

Diplomacy and social responsibility dominate your actions. You are highly creative in any form of art and yet, you refrain from allowing your self-expression to come to the forefront. This week try to let go of your inner restraints and let creativity flow. On Monday, set a timer for 30 minutes and in that time, let your mind run wild. On Tuesday, make it an hour and write down your thoughts, and so on through the week. You deserve your creative time.

• AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: The Empress

You may be getting an idea that, the more you think about it, the more passionate you become about seeing it through. This is an appropriate week for putting that idea into a concrete plan and moving forward with it. There may be stumbling blocks involved, but any great idea has had temporary setbacks. You can succeed if you stay focused.

• PISCES [the Fish]: Seven of Pentacles

Spiritually, you feel at ease; monetarily, not so much. The beginning of the week may test your patience. However, as the days go by, you relax some and recognize that as long as you maintain your connection to your Higher Being, the money situation will proceed in a positive fashion.
