TAROT READINGS FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 19, 2025

For additional insight for my viewers, here is this week's Tarot reading. An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot.

·        Mercury continues to be conjunct Mars in Scorpio all week, as it was last week. This can be a time of clarity and decisiveness, which oftentimes leads to feelings of impulsiveness and impatience. Any of those issues that you encountered last week will likely continue this week as well. This remains an ideal time to enjoy a hobby that allows you to spend some contemplative time alone.

·        Currently Mercury is busy meeting other planets. Two more aspects with Mercury: (1)Trine Jupiter midweek to contribute to good vibes; success in learning something new that will be beneficial; confidence; good news coming your way (2) Trine Saturn [which will continue into next week] to encourage serious organization and planning to prepare for new projects; and complete minor tasks, whatever is cluttering your routine.

·        New Moon at 28° Libra. This is the start of a new Moon family, which lasts about 2 ½ years. A Moon family is composed of the phases [First Quarter, Full Moon, Last Quarter]  occurring in the same degree and sign as the New Moon. In this case, 1st Quarter will occur in 28° Libra on July 21, 2026; Full Moon, April 20, 2027; Last Quarter, January 18, 2028. The significance is that the New Moon theme will continue to develop through the next phases. All New Moons indicate the start of something new; 1st Quarter, building on that same theme; Full Moon indicates pivoting or refining what you started in the New Moon; and the Last Quarter is a time of reflection, completion.  In general, a Libra New Moon is a healthy time, mentally and physically. It can be a very rewarding period in terms of loving relationships. Be aware of the urge to over give, stressing yourself as a result. Look at which house 26° - 29° Libra is in your natal chart to get an idea of the visionary aspects of this New Moon family. For example, 28° Libra in my chart falls in the 5th House of creativity. For me, this is an excellent time to develop creative projects, such as my murder mystery novel. If you have questions about how this New Moon affects you, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to help.

I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. For the Collective Card, I used the Divine Dog Wisdom Oracle deck.

·       Collective card: Excellence “Do Your Best”

This card highlights the astrology this week, particularly the approaching New Moon. “Where are you now and where do you want to be?” Think about that as you contemplate your goals with the Libra New Moon. “Keep going beyond what you’ve already done, and you’ll move ever closer to excellence.” This is reiterating the influence Mercury has on how we move forward – with confidence or dread? You choose.

·        ARIES [the Ram]: Strength

This card [associated with Libra, our New Moon!] encourages you to persevere; to acknowledge your natural ability to face challenges with hope and compassion. You are strong from within. Rely on that strength in the light of difficult projects/events that you may be involved in.

·        TAURUS [the Bull]: The Fool

The Fool represents divine consciousness, an intellectual state of optimism and courage. This week, as you organize and prepare for new adventures, there may be pressure to pursue practicality; however, more importantly, trust your instincts to guide you forward.

·        GEMINI [the Twins]:Ace of Swords

You have double [Twins!] the reinforcement to make a new plan – the astrology and the Ace of Swords. The journey you are anticipating is important to your growth. Keep in mind that there may be some repressed anger that may be released along the way. That doesn’t mean you need to change directions; just reassess how you’re going to get there. Remember the words of the Collective Card of Excellence.

·        CANCER [the Crab]: Seven of Pentacles

You’ve accomplished getting your home/work life organized so that it can run smoothly on its own. The reason for doing that, other than for your own satisfaction, was to free you up to move past the mundane and achieve Excellence. This week is a good time to proceed in that direction.

·        LEO [the Lion}: Six of Pentacles

This week, reap the benefits of your on-going hard work. Generously share your wealth, whether it be material or inner/Spiritual acknowledgement. [Interestingly, this card is associated with the Moon.] Consider the harmonizing effects of this Libra New Moon on your general outlook on life.

·        VIRGO [the Virgin]: The Empress

The Empress expresses fertility and creativity, of being open-minded to new ideas. This can represent literal fertility or the fertility of ideas. If you’re attempting pregnancy, this may be a good week depending on where Virgo lies in your natal chart. This card is often called the Gate of Heaven because the Empress represents the “door” to  divine creative energy [Creation] in the Tree of Life.

·        LIBRA [the Scales]: Eight of Swords

Having the New Moon occur in the last degrees of Libra can be daunting, as the Eight of Swords emphasizes. It’s easy to get caught up in “should haves,” and cause you to doubt your creative ideas. Keep this in mind: Whenever you say “I should have”, follow it with “if I had really wanted to.” You will soon realize that your “should haves” are really choices you decided against and went another direction that seemed more appropriate at the time.

·        SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Wheel of Fortune

Scorpio figures largely in the astrology this week; Mercury in Scorpio seeking clarity and warning of impulsiveness; Mars in Scorpio pushing for quick decisions. The Wheel of Fortune adds to that by reminding you to assess where you are in life [Excellence card?] and seek spiritual enlightenment. Do not rush. Our fate always rests in God’s hands.

·        SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Two of Swords

The Two of Swords is represented in astrology by the Moon in Libra! Which, of course, this week’s New Moon is in Libra; so this has increased emphasis. Twos generally have to do with making choices; Swords, an intellectual exercise. As you approach taking on a new project/venture, balance the possible profitability with the emotional investment you will have to undergo before moving forward.

·        CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: The Emperor

The Emperor is about authority. This can be the power held over you in society, or the power you instill by setting boundaries – or it can be both! The Emperor also represents “the father.” This is a good week to meditate on healing “father” issues or on a higher realm, getting in touch with the Holy Father. Something is shifting with power issues.

·        AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Knight of Wands

The Knight of Wands is eager to have an adventure where he will end up riding off into the sunset as the ultimate hero. He tends to be impulsive [Mercury in Scorpio] in his action-filled quest [Mars in Scorpio]. You too have the energy and self-confidence to pursue a new adventure. Go for it.

·        PISCES [the Fish]: King of Pentacles

This is a prosperous time for you, whether financially or spiritually. You are financially stable, although you may not recognize it as such. Enjoy the fruits of your labors and take pride in the fact that your sensible, honest work has allowed you to create something that is lasting.

When checking the Zodiac signs, look at not only your Sun sign, but also your Moon sign and Ascendant to get a fuller picture. If you don't know what those are, email me with your date of birth, exact time and location of birth. I will be happy to send you a free copy of your natal chart. Also, if you have questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to email me. astrologywithann@gmail.com
