Tarot Readings for the Week of April 5, 2026

in quietness and trust is your strength”  Isaiah 30:15

An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot. Please remember that astrology aspects are not predictions but merely signposts to help understand the astral influences that may affect you.

The theme of the astrological energy this week is MODERATION. Many aspects point to this. Just an observation!

SUNDAY:

·       For those of you following the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, they have moved 4° apart; and unless you have some strong influence with these planets in your natal chart, this impact has greatly lessened its grip on the push/pull dynamic. Hopefully, positive changes have occurred, along with ridding ourselves of mental burdens we no longer need to hold onto.

·       The Moon at 28° Scorpio is in opposition [a challenge] to Uranus at 28° Taurus. The Moon’s influence on the water sign of Scorpio will likely cause feelings of compassion and/or sadness; with Uranus opposite, maybe some confusion. [Uranus causes sudden changes or disruptions.] This feeling is temporary as the Moon will move into the more adventurous fire sign of Sagittarius early Monday.

MONDAY:

·       The Sun at 16° Aries is square [a challenge] Jupiter at 16° Cancer. This will provide an air of optimism; could be so much so that there is a tendency to ‘over’-do: overthink, overspend, overindulge, overcriticize. You get the point. Just be aware and moderate as needed. This influence will last a couple of days.

 WEDNESDAY:

·       Mars at 29° Pisces is sextile [beneficial] Uranus at 29° Taurus. The anaretic [karma] degree is the 29th degree. In this case, motivated Mars is providing the ‘gift’ of great energy and enthusiasm to wrap things up before it moves into Aries [its homebase] on Friday. Although Uranus likes changes, Taurus will supply the flexibility for you to pick and choose where your personal energy is expended. This is not “couch potato” time.

  THURSDAY:

·       The Moon at 15° Capricorn is in opposition to Jupiter at 16° Cancer. Capricorn is serious-minded and Cancer is nurturing. Emotions are strongly affected, causing inner doubts/a lack of self-confidence - the kind that drives some to self-indulge to counteract the feelings of being too hard on yourself. All things in moderation.

 FRIDAY:

·       Last Quarter Moon at 20° Capricorn. It’s a time of reaping what you’ve sown during the Moon family that started with the New Moon at 20° Capricorn in January 2024. With Capricorn, events are most strongly related to career/job situation. Think about what you’ve experienced/worked toward since January 2024, and determine the energy you may receive [sow] for your efforts.

 SATURDAY:

·       Mars has moved into Aries, where it likes to be. It’s also conjunct Neptune. Generally, a conjunction is a positive aspect. However, Mars is impulsive and Neptune dissolves. You may find yourself with a conflict between your impulses and your willingness to accept responsibility for those actions. Realistically review before jumping into action. Again, moderation is key.

In considering all of these planetary aspects, more is revealed when you are aware of which houses these aspects present themselves in your natal chart and the other transits affecting your natal chart.

TAROT

I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. Since April 5 is Easter, I chose the Divine Angel Oracle Deck for the Collective card.

·                 Collective card [overview for all]: Letting Go

“Surrender and let go of control. Release resistance and trust in the flow of life, knowing that everything unfolds in divine timing and for your highest good.”

·                  ARIES [the Ram]: Wheel of Fortune

This card signifies some kind of change in the circumstances of your life. What happens is not luck but God’s/Spirit’s plan. No matter how much power we may think we have, remember the unknown/fate rests is the hands of the Greater One.

·                  TAURUS [the Bull]: Eight of Swords

Remember that Uranus is in Taurus for a few more weeks. There may be some disruptions, leaving you feeling isolated or that you’re in a unique situation that no one else can understand. Set aside your stubbornness and reach out to those who love you most.

·                  GEMINI [the Twins]: Queen of Swords

The Queen of Swords reminds you that, although you’ve been through a great deal, you found wisdom in those experiences. Show grace and patience when dealing with those who are going through similar situations.

·                  CANCER [the Crab]: Five of Cups [reversed]

Rarely do we deal with reversed cards. However, this card popped out and landed in reverse. It was meant to be. You may have had some sorrow or hurt recently, but this card urges you to reflect on what’s truly important in life and refocus your energy.

·                  LEO [the Lion]: Ten of Swords

There’s been a good bit of negative energy recently and reasons for disappointment, but this card advises that the worst is over. It’s time to assess what you can control and fix, and what you can’t. It’s really not as bad as it seems.

·                  VIRGO [the Virgin]: Page of Swords

You’ve been treading water lately and getting nowhere. There’s no point in wasting energy that way. The card urges a new perspective. Look up; the sky is bright; the stars are shining. Everything is aglow. Move forward!

·                  LIBRA [the Scales]: Ace of Wands

You live to keep life in balance and harmony, and that’s wonderful. The world needs you. However, think about doing something differently. Take a review; what new energy would give life a lift and add some excitement?

·                  SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: Ten of Pentacles [reversed]

Rarely do we deal with reversed cards. However, this card popped out and landed in reverse. It was meant to be. The Moon is working its way through Scorpio, perhaps bringing some restlessness or boredom. Before you decide to take a big risk because of boredom, stop and reconsider. Find balance.

·                  SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: Justice

This card speaks to absolute honesty; to weighing pros and cons; checks and balances; and determining if you’ve been fair with yourself. Things work out the way they were meant to, even if you can’t see it immediately.

·                  CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Six of Pentacles

You are a serious minded, ambitious worker. This card suggests that currently you are relating easily with others but denying your own feelings. You count too. Give yourself some of that tender loving care that you share with those around you.

·                  AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Seven of Pentacles

Aquarius, you are co-ruled by Saturn and Uranus, both of which have been and still are big on the astrological horizon. Whatever project/activity you’ve been working on, probably as a group effort, is now able to grow on its own because of your specific input. Look back with satisfaction at what you’ve accomplished, and accept the accolades.

·                  PISCES [the Fish]: Three of Cups

The card represents a celebration of the wonder of life. The past months have seen many astrological aspects moving through Pisces, causing a variety of fluctuations and energy. Most have passed; life is getting calmer. This is a time to share the positive experiences and rid yourself of any negativity.

When checking the Zodiac signs, look at not only your Sun sign, but also your Moon sign and Ascendant to get a fuller picture. If you don't know what those are, email me with your date of birth, exact time and location of birth. I will be happy to send you a free copy of your natal chart. Also, if you have questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to email me. astrologywithann@gmail.com
