For additional insight for my viewers, here is this week's Tarot reading. An overview of major astrology transits for this week helps focus the Tarot.
· Still dealing with retrogrades. Whenever a planet is in retrograde, it’s a signal for self-care. It’s a time to revise, reevaluate, resolve, etc. for your personal care. This week Mercury [r] is conjunct Venus in Scorpio – a time to be forgiving but not taking the blame in a relationship. Remember: self-care.
· Venus is a busy girl this week. On Wednesday, Venus is trine both Jupiter [r] in Cancer and Saturn [r] in Pisces. Venus loves to love and be surrounded by beauty and self-worth. Jupiter [r] acts like a mini-Saturn, switching from expansion to more traditional experiences; and Saturn [r] acts like a mini-Jupiter, switching from discipline to expanding the imagination of your true responsibilities. So, the day before Thanksgiving, when many are up to the elbows in preparation for the holiday, you may feel a little more off kilter than usual. Just remember, the key this week is self-care. Maybe enlist aid or eliminate some of your chores – many of which may not be necessary at all. Strive for progress, not perfection.
· Saturn goes direct on Thursday, releasing stress and settling back into tradition. It’s in Pisces, the Sign of the Saint, a time of bliss, peace, and empathy.
· Friday is the First Quarter Moon at 6° Pisces. Look back to the end of February; what action/project were you contemplating? Is it still on the table? Now is the time to either proceed or abandon. Look at what house 2° - 9° Pisces is in your natal chart to get an idea of the visionary aspects of this lunar event.
· Saturday Mercury goes direct in Scorpio, alleviating tensions, and communication improves. Also, Venus at 29° Scorpio is opposite Uranus [r] at 29° Taurus. Without going into all the astrological details, this could be an odd time. You or those around you may be stubborn in their attitudes; an unsettling situation may suddenly arrive at an answer out of nowhere; or you may just feel an overwhelming sense of relief, bringing you to tears. Remember: self-care!
For educational and entertainment purposes only
I always take a few moments of quiet to center myself, take a few deep breaths, ask for guidance, and listen to intuition coming forth as I shuffle the cards. For the Zodiac signs this week, I'm using the traditional Rider-Waite deck.
· Collective card: The Magician
The Magician is ruled by Mercury, which is retrograde this week until Saturday. The Magician seeks creative force in action but may be a bit limited due to the retrograde. This card also represents the beginning and potential for success, which aligns well with the First Quarter Moon. So, while the week may have its ups and downs, by Saturday inspiration arrives and The Magician is more empowered to create miracles.
· ARIES [the Ram]: Ace of Swords
Interestingly, the Aces are ruled by The Magician. In this case, be in tune with considering a new perspective, perhaps aligned with the action/project of the First Quarter Moon. You may get glimmers of this new route you’re contemplating throughout the week. By Saturday, it may appear all too clear to you. Being a fiery Aries, consider all positions before you leap. This could be huge.
· TAURUS [the Bull]: Six of Wands
There is positive energy in completely balanced manifestation [making something real out of the possibilities of life.] This pairs very well with the grounding and consistency of Taureans. The Six of Wands encourages you to maintain your vision and move forward. Victory is yours.
· GEMINI [the Twins]: Nine of Pentacles
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, who is making some shifts this week. The Nine of Pentacles [ruled by Venus] reminds you to be self-sufficient in light of Venus actions, and to observe the beauty of life [seeing the rose, not the thorns]. You are responsible and reliable, and many will depend on your multi-tasking abilities this week.
· CANCER [the Crab]: Eight of Swords
You will be influenced by the actions of Jupiter this week more than others. Being a nurturing person, the retrograde of Jupiter may suit you just fine. The Eight of Swords is reminding you of the need for time alone to gain enlightenment of an on-going situation/project. Pray, meditate, seek guidance from Spirit/God. Otherwise, you may feel like a prisoner of your own making.
· LEO [the Lion}: The Fool
The Fool card is the first card in the Tarot deck and the only card with no number; he’s in a class of his own; he has infinite potential. In astrology, the Fool would be an air sign representing divine consciousness. Leo, being a Fire sign, is fueled by ‘air’; so for this week, prepare for optimism, but trust your instinct. Sometimes, the Fool has been known to leap before he looks.
· VIRGO [the Virgin]: Five of Swords
The Five of Swords, ruled by Venus, is advising you to allow yourself grace. The varied aspects of Venus may cause you to feel unbalanced and defeatist; but Virgo, you know you are often overcritical, particularly of yourself. Some extra pampering is in order to get you to a happy place.
· LIBRA [the Scales]: Two of Wands
You have a decision to make, and generally for you, Libra, that is not all that difficult. You easily keep life in balance; however, with the aspects this week, it may be more challenging to find that level ground. Others that are affected by your actions may be acting out or just downright stubborn. You know how to smooth ruffled feathers while making the right choice.
· SCORPIO [the Scorpion]: The High Priestess
The High Priestess [#2 in Tarot] is the counterbalance to The Magician [#1], bringing calm and intuition to the table. She is ruled by the Moon and encourages private time to connect with God/Spirit/Higher Power. The combination of The High Priestess and Venus in Scorpio this week puts your intuitive abilities in high energy. Listen, and follow your instincts.
· SAGITTARIUS [the Archer]: King of Cups
As we’re just entering Sagittarius season in the Zodiac Sun signs, it’s exciting to receive the King of Cups. He is diplomatic, responsible, and very creative. This syncs with the playful, adventurous side of Sagittarius this week. Take life in stride, help when needed, and be the cheerleader when others are stressed.
· CAPRICORN [the Sea-Goat]: Eight of Cups
In astrology, the Eight of Cups is ruled by Saturn in Pisces. Currently, Saturn is preparing to return direct in Pisces. You will likely feel pulled to step away from the ordinary duties to spend time looking for deeper answers to your questions about life and your future. Open your heart and mind; the answers are there.
· AQUARIUS [the Water Bearer]: Knight of Pentacles
You are in a period of practicality and occupied with the material part of your life. That’s not a bad thing. Beware of becoming over ambitious in where you’re spending your money. Knights possess great energy and sometimes can get too bold.
· PISCES [the Fish]: The Hanging Man
The Hanging Man and Pisces are both ‘water spirits’. Nurturing and compassion rule the week. Take the time to pause for perspective and redirect as needed. Remember: self-care. Be who you are even if others don’t see it. In time, they will.
